Professional Mixing for Modern Records
Transform your raw recordings into a cohesive, powerful, and emotionally resonant sonic experience. We provide meticulous balance, depth, and clarity to ensure your music competes on a global scale.
The bridge between a great demo and a professional release is the mix. Many talented producers and songwriters find that while their ideas are strong, the final sonic translation lacks the punch, width, and definition required for commercial streaming platforms. Professional mixing is not just about volume levels; it is about creating a three-dimensional space where every instrument has its own place, and the emotional intent of the song is amplified.
At Bambochezone, we approach every project with a commitment to sonic integrity. Whether you are recording a stripped-back indie track or a complex electronic production with over 50 stems, our goal is to enhance the natural character of your sound. By leveraging our 22m² control room and ATC SCM25A monitoring, we ensure that your mix translates perfectly across all listening environments, from high-end club systems to smartphone speakers.
The Mixing Workflow: Our 4-Step Process
Analysis & Preparation
We begin by reviewing your stems and reference tracks. We analyse the frequency spectrum and dynamic range to identify potential conflicts before the first fader is moved.
Static Mix & Balance
The core of the song is established through volume, panning, and basic EQ. We focus on the "skeleton" of the track to ensure the arrangement supports the lead vocal or main melody.
Processing & Depth
We apply advanced compression, saturation, and spatial effects (reverb/delay). This stage adds the "glue" and professional sheen that separates home productions from studio records.
Review & Refinement
The first mix is delivered for your feedback. We then apply the necessary adjustments across your included revision rounds to perfect the final sonic balance.
Who is this service for?
Our professional mixing service is specifically designed for those who have completed their recording phase but lack the specialised environment or technical expertise to achieve a commercial sound. This includes:
- Independent Artists: Solo musicians who record at home but need a professional ear to polish their singles.
- Home Producers & Beatmakers: Creators who have the vision and the beats but struggle with vocal integration and low-end management.
- Small Labels: Boutique labels requiring a consistent sonic signature across an EP or album.
- Bands: Groups that have tracked their instruments separately and need them blended into a cohesive unit.
How the collaboration works
Since we operate as an online-first studio, the process is streamlined for efficiency. Once you book the service, you will receive a secure upload link. You provide the stems, and we handle the technical heavy lifting. Communication is conducted via email in English, ensuring every detail of your vision is documented. While we work remotely, our Perth-based control room provides the physical accuracy needed for high-end decisions. If you are local to Perth, we can arrange a scheduled session for a final listening review by appointment.
What you need to prepare
To ensure a professional result and avoid technical delays, your files must meet our studio standards. Please refer to our detailed guide on how to prepare stems for mixing for a full checklist. In brief, we require:
- Format: High-quality WAV or AIFF files.
- Sample Rate: 44.1kHz or higher.
- Bit Depth: 24-bit minimum.
- Headroom: Please ensure your files peak at -6dB to allow us room to work without clipping.
- Organisation: Stems should be clearly labelled (e.g., "Kick_In", "Lead_Vocal_Main", "Synth_Bass_L").
- References: Two or three commercially released tracks that represent the sound you are aiming for.
What is included in the final delivery
Upon completion and final approval, you will receive a comprehensive delivery package. We don't just send a single file; we provide the assets necessary for a professional release cycle:
- Main Mix: High-resolution WAV (24-bit) and a high-quality MP3 for quick review.
- Instrumental Mix: A full version of the track without lead vocals, essential for live performances or sync licensing.
- TV Mix: A version with backing vocals but without the lead vocal.
- Clean Mix: An edited version removing explicit content if requested.
- Loudness Report: A detailed report showing integrated LUFS and True Peak levels to ensure compatibility with streaming platforms.
- Distribution Guide: Basic instructions on how to hand over these files to your mastering engineer or distributor.
Turnaround times and scheduling
Our average turnaround for a professional mix is 5 business days. This allows us to step away from the project and return with "fresh ears," which is critical for objective mixing. Please note that this timeframe begins after the deposit is paid and all correct stems have been uploaded. For projects requiring a faster delivery, a rush fee of 30% is applied to the total cost. We limit our monthly capacity to 15 tracks to maintain the highest quality for every client.
What is NOT included
To keep our services transparent, it is important to note what professional mixing does not cover:
- Recording: We do not provide tracking services; all files must be pre-recorded.
- Songwriting/Arranging: We do not rewrite melodies or change the structure of your song.
- Mastering: Mixing and mastering are distinct processes. While we deliver a balanced mix, a final stereo master is required for commercial release (see our Stereo Mastering page).
- Extensive Tuning: Basic pitch correction is included, but heavy vocal alignment and surgical tuning are handled under our Vocal Editing & Tuning service.
Pricing and GST
Our pricing is transparent and based on the complexity of the project. All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). In accordance with Australian law, we provide pricing both including and excluding the 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST).
| Service Level | Complexity | Price (ex GST) | Price (inc GST) | Unit |

A 50% deposit is required to secure your slot in the production calendar. For B2B clients, payment terms are 14 days from the invoice date. All mixing projects include 3 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions beyond this limit are billed as extra hours. Full terms regarding deposits and cancellations can be found in our Terms and Conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I need more than 3 revisions?
We include 3 rounds of revisions to ensure the mix meets your expectations. If further changes are required due to a change in the original creative brief, these will be billed as additional hourly work. We recommend providing detailed feedback in a single consolidated list to make the most of your rounds.
Do you provide the project session files (Pro Tools/Logic)?
No, we provide the exported audio files (WAV/MP3). The session files contain our proprietary signal chains and processing techniques and are not included in the standard delivery. However, we provide all the necessary mix versions (Instrumental, TV, etc.) for your needs.
Can you mix a track that was recorded in a non-treated room?
Yes, we can work with most recordings. However, the quality of the mix is heavily dependent on the quality of the source. We use advanced subtractive EQ and noise reduction to clean up recordings, but some room resonance or background noise cannot be fully removed without affecting the signal.
How do I send my files to you?
Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you a link to a secure cloud folder. Please upload your stems as individual files, ensuring they are correctly named and meet the 24-bit/44.1kHz+ requirement.
