Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about collaborating with Bambochezone. From technical specifications for your stems to our revision process and payment terms, we provide transparent answers to ensure your project runs smoothly.
Ordering and Timelines
How do I start a project with you?
To begin, please visit our contact page to send an enquiry. Once we discuss your project goals and agree on the scope, we will provide a formal quote. Work commences upon receipt of the required deposit and the final delivery of your project files.
What is the average turnaround time for a track?
Our average turnaround time is 5 business days. This allows us to maintain the quality of our monitoring in the 22m² control room and ensure each track receives the necessary attention. Depending on the complexity of the mix or the volume of an EP, this may vary, but we always communicate the expected delivery date upfront.
Do you offer rush services for tight deadlines?
Yes, we can accommodate urgent requests. For projects requiring a turnaround faster than our standard 5 business days, a rush fee of 30% is applied to the total cost of the service. Please mention your deadline in the initial enquiry to check our current capacity.
How many tracks do you take on per month?
To maintain a boutique level of quality and precision, our monthly capacity is limited to 15 tracks. This ensures that Grace, Callum, and Hamish can dedicate sufficient time to every project without compromising the sonic integrity of the final master.
What are your operating hours for communication?
We are available for consultations and project updates Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (AWST). We typically respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.
File Preparation and Technicals
What are the requirements for the stems I send?
To ensure the highest fidelity, all stems must be delivered at a sample rate of 44.1kHz or higher and a bit depth of 24-bit. We request that you provide files with a headroom of -6dB (peak) to give us sufficient space for processing without clipping. Please refer to our guide on preparing stems for mixing for more detail.
Should I leave effects (reverb/delay) on my stems?
Ideally, provide "dry" stems for elements you want us to process. However, if a specific delay or reverb is an integral part of the creative arrangement, please provide both a dry version and a wet version. This gives the engineer the flexibility to blend the effect into the final mix seamlessly.
In what format will I receive my final files?
Every project is delivered as a high-resolution WAV file (24-bit) and a high-quality MP3. Depending on the service, we also provide a loudness report detailing the integrated LUFS and True Peak levels to ensure your track meets the standards of your chosen distribution platform.
Do you provide instrumental or TV mixes?
Yes, instrumental, clean, or TV mixes can be provided upon request. Please specify these requirements during the ordering process so we can incorporate them into the project timeline and pricing.
Revisions and Feedback
How many revisions are included in the price?
Every mixing and mastering project includes 3 rounds of revisions. We believe this is sufficient to refine the sonic balance and ensure the track aligns with your vision. We encourage you to be as specific as possible in your feedback to make the most of these rounds.
What happens if I need more than 3 revisions?
If the included 3 rounds are exhausted and further changes are required, additional work is billed at an hourly rate for editing and tuning. This ensures that complex projects with evolving creative directions are handled fairly.
How should I send my feedback for revisions?
We recommend using time-stamped notes (e.g., "0:45 - vocals slightly too loud"). This prevents ambiguity and allows our engineers to apply changes precisely. You can send these via email or through our project management link.
Can I change the arrangement after the mix has started?
Structural changes to the arrangement after the mixing process has begun may incur additional fees, as they often require a complete re-evaluation of the balance and automation. We recommend finalizing your arrangement before submitting stems.
Formats and Delivery
What is the difference between Stereo and Stem Mastering?
Stereo mastering works with a single two-channel file. Stem mastering allows us to process groups of instruments (e.g., all drums, all vocals, all synths) separately before the final master. This provides more control over the balance and is often preferred for complex modern productions.
Do you prepare masters for vinyl or club systems?
Yes, we offer a Platform Mastering pack that includes specific versions for streaming, vinyl, and club systems. Each of these requires different handling of low-end frequencies and peak levels to translate correctly across different playback environments.
How do you handle the loudness for streaming platforms?
We target loudness levels that are competitive yet transparent, avoiding over-compression. We provide a report with LUFS and True Peak values so you know exactly how your track will be treated by algorithms on platforms like Spotify or Apple Music.
Will you help me with the distribution process?
While we do not act as a distributor, we provide clear instructions on how to upload your final masters to your chosen distribution service to ensure no quality is lost during the upload process.
Rights and Privacy
Who owns the rights to the final master?
You retain 100% of the rights to your music. Bambochezone does not claim any ownership or royalties for the mixing and mastering services provided. All terms regarding intellectual property are outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
How do you handle the confidentiality of unreleased music?
We treat all client material with strict confidentiality. Your files are stored securely and are never shared or used for promotional purposes without your explicit written consent. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
Do I need to prove I own the samples used in my track?
Yes. By submitting your project to us, you confirm that you hold the necessary rights to all samples, covers, and recordings provided. Bambochezone is not liable for copyright disputes arising from the materials provided by the client.
How long do you keep my project files?

Payment and Cancellations
What are your payment terms?
For all projects, we require a 50% deposit to secure your slot in our schedule. The remaining 50% is due upon approval of the final master and before the high-resolution, watermark-free files are delivered.
Do you offer B2B payment terms for labels?
Yes, for established labels and business entities, we offer B2B payment terms with a deadline of 14 days from the date of the invoice. Please provide your business details during the enquiry process to arrange this.
Are your prices inclusive of GST?
All prices listed on our website are shown both including GST (10%) and excluding GST for your convenience. The final invoice will clearly state the GST amount applied.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you wish to cancel a project, the deposit is non-refundable if work has already commenced. If the project is cancelled before any engineering work has started, the deposit may be refunded minus a small administrative fee. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details.
